My husband and I had only the bison burgers, which were delicious. Ditto for the banana ice cream cake. I prefer the back portion, which has less of a typical bar vibe than the front does.

Shocking that a burger place can be this bad. Went here today Sunday July 20th with kids and friends. Ordered a pretzel and the chef burned the last one. They substituted with pretzel bites. Thought that was nice of them. We then ordered … More

This place has a 5 star potential. Location is on point with the area and set up with ample room. I think my burguer could've been fantastic had they not overcooked it to a dry version of roadkill. And the same goes for my wife's burguer. We both specified medium rare. More

The burger was AMAZING. Cooked just how I asked. I got mine with fries and I was not disappointed. Small entrance so you may drive right by the place. Inside is pretty barebones. Not much character, but these are the places with the best food! I will return. More

Really great pub, good service and good food. Probably best fried pickles i’ve ever had! They are also very service animal friendly, and more so kind and accommodating to them. This was his first time at a restaurant, and the wait staff, bar staff, even the other patrons came over to say hello! Everyone was super friendly and it just made our night. They have a space in the back room for service animals, so you don’t feel like you’re bothering anyone. Great place, and i’d recommend it to anyone.

Went here to lunch and it was not very busy inside. Despite this it took quite a long time to get our food ordered, get any kind of check in from the waiter for refills and even longer to get our food. I got the crab Mac n cheese. The food was ok. Kind of bland. Needed more seasoning and despite being in a small cast iron skillet, it had almost no color or texture to the top minus the little bit of bread crumbs they added to the top. My 3 friends all got burgers and they all said the same thing. They were pretty mid. I feel like I paid too much money for this experience and I don’t really see myself coming back to this establishment. I will post the picture of my meal and you can judge for yourself. I didn’t even eat the leftovers.

We came here for the first time because we heard so much about it since it opened, but we were disappointed. The much anticipated burger was mediocre AT BEST. The meat had very little flavor and the bun was nothing special, kinda dry and broke off when bitten into. $17 & $15 burgers served with only a bag of chips (fries were an upgrade.) The atmosphere upfront by the bar was kinda cool with lots of wood & several barn doors, however towards the back where the restaurant seating was it felt more like a vacant pool hall than a restaurant. Additionally, several tables were very wobbly so we had to move to a new table. Waitress was very friendly & attentive. But, $40 before tip for two burgers that were unimpressive & $6.00 for a draft Miller light beer was ridiculous! We won’t be back!
UPDATE: We tasted the chips (from a bag)when we got home & they were excellent! The brand is Deep River & we really enjoyed them. They were very crunchy, great flavor, and not too salty. If they’re gonna skimp on including fries with a burger at least they bought quality chips.

Every place's success comes down to one basic question - does the food taste good?
Abbey Burger didn't offer anything good in our visit. I had the crispy chicken burger - while the chicken was done, internally, the breading was fried in either way too hot or hot and old oil. The burned oil or old oil taste was the strongest taste. See photo - that's not the color a crispy chicken sandwich should be. My partner had the salmon burger - and there's no real way to describe it other than 'tastes like you'd expect unseasoned fish on bread to taste'. The seltzer water tasted off; rubbery perhaps, or poor quality local water supply. The iced tea tasted like old tea.
While the chicken sandwich was removed from the bill, $35 for fried pickles, one burger, and an Iced Tea (the remaining items on our bill) seems steep for the quality of the product.
Service was fine. Friendly. All that. Service isn't enough of a reason to return. If a quality chef could mentor their cooks for even one day, it might be enough to save this place.

This burger joint is a great place for anybody who love burgers! There is a checklist that no only lets you pick your toppings for the burger, but the type of meat you want, how you want it cooked, and what type of bun you want on your burger. I had a bison burger with bacon and American cheese medium well. The burger was cooked perfectly, seasoned well, and I could tell it was bison since bison is a leaner meat than beef.
For history buffs out there, this restaurant is also located in the most historic building of Havre de Grace. Known as the Rodger's House, this building is the only surviving residence from the Raid of Havre de Grace in 1813 during the War of 1812.
Overall, I would recommend this location for those who love burgers, those who love history, and those who love Havre de Grace and all its charm.

We had lunch on a whim, and we were very pleased we stopped at Abbey Burger. I decided on the Baltimore burger. It was delicious! The burger was cooked exactly as I ordered, the crab dip was flavorful as was the bacon. My hubby ordered the AJ10 which he was enjoyed as well. I snatched up some of his tots that were served with it, oh.my! They were crispy and yummy! The atmosphere was nice, and service was great. Everyone was friendly. The prices are as to be expected for the menu selections. I can't wait to go back.
We had our second lunch at Abbey Burger and my husband found his new favorite.. the lamb Burger with sweet potato fries. My burger on a pretzel roll was just as delicious as the first time.
Kids tenders were a win with our daughter. I taste tested myself, and they are crispy and tender.
I did a byo on a pretzel roll, Angus beef, pineapple, sautéed onion, Abby sauce, tomato and pickles. It was cooked medium rare just as I ordered, so delicious. I enjoyed it very much and am already wanting to have it again.
The service is slow the different times we went; however, with how crazy things are nowadays, we understand completely and it doesn't bother us, as we do know that everyone is struggling in some way. We also know that the food is worth the wait and our bellies are satisfied at the end. Good food with family quality time is always a good time.

I’ve never met someone so petty they questioned their tip after poor service.
Have your employer pay your salary and don’t question me for over priced beer and your inability to handle a situation professionally. I was nearly over charged for their pickle chips special pricing and then was chastised for asking for a correction on my chit.
Don’t mark $6 all week, then start asking questions if I “mind paying more… ?”
Yeah I do. That’s false advertising and to even put me on the spot for my clarification shows a real lack of professionalism. Maybe that’s why this place was dead at dinner rush.

Abbey Burger HDG was a great experience. As for the food, I ordered the Baltimore Burger and a side on sweet potato fries (upcharge). The food was really good and superstar of the dish were the sweet potato fries. Among some of the best I've had. The burger was cooked to the perfect temp (medium). The crab dip was interesting but still very good. Overall I really liked the staff, they were friendly and work had for the crowd we had come in so that always appreciated. If you need a great burger spot and avoid the hassle of the inner harbor you don't have to leave your county!
