I haven't been to one of these locations for years. But I gotta say, it's more fast food quality atmosphere now. The food tasted great, except for the soggy fries. Great flavor, just soggy. Would I go again? Maybe in a pinch like I did this time. More

Reliably delicious food, good flavor. Clean space with nice seating. The horchata and chi cha morada drinks are refreshing and pair perfectly. I highly recommend getting yucca fries and maduros (fried plantains), they're my favorite. They have tostones for vegetarian folks, though they are sometimes really salty. More

Alpaca Peruvian Charcoal Chicken was a great experience. The staff was really friendly, and the restaurant was clean and welcoming. I liked the walk-up order counter it made ordering quick and easy. The pollo saltado was beyond amazing and full of flavor. Definitely a place I’d go back to! More

This is specifically about the service. The food is very good and I will continue going there. My problem is that 3 of the last 4 orders have not been correct. Tonight, they forgot the tostones. Before that they forgot a side order of maduros and the 3rd time I ordered a dark 1/4 and a white 1/4. I got two dark. Maybe the manager needs to spend more time training and emphasize the importance of getting the order correct. Hillsborough St location in Raleigh. Food great, service, not so much.

My first time here, I ordered the quinoa salad, which was evidently a mistake. I can't speak to any of their other offerings, but this salad has brown, soggy lettuce and barely any quinoa.

I ordered to go. The food is always delicious. Im ordering maduros as a side and they are really good. This time when I was going to eat at home I realized that they put few beans for the rice. Is the first time. There were not enough beans for the rice.
Next time I will check my to go order before I leave to be sure they put enough and a reasonable amount of beans, as they usually does.

I absolutely love Alpaca!! The charcoal fired rotisserie chicken is always fresh, flavorful, and juicy. My go to order is a half chicken with yuca fries, and rice topped with beans. The sides are amazing!! The yuca fries, black beans, chicken soup, maduros (fried sweet plantains), and tostones (salty fried green plantains) are all WONDERFUL! They also have a spicy green sauce, a mustard/mayo yellow sauce, and fresh lime slivers to add even more flavor. I make a point to come here every time I'm in town. The staff are always helpful and the inside Peruvian decore is super cute. They always have awesome Latin music playing which is just the best. Would highly highly recommend!
