We loved this Swedish inspired breakfast restaurant. The service was excellent and food delicious. We went on a Monday morning and it was busy with a great atmosphere. The portions were substantial- especially the two cinnamon rolls, which came as a side, they were yummy but we still couldn’t finish them!

Cinnamon rolls are definitely legit here! I had the Mexican omelette. It was good, but not spectacular. Our server made a great recommendation to have it made with chorizo and pepper jack cheese. They were also very generous with the avocado slices in it. My wife tried the swedish sampler. She didn't really care much for the pancake or the sausage, but she really liked the meatball. The hash brown potatoes were pretty good. We also tried the SOB juice, and we both enjoyed that. All of the servers were very attentive and pleasant.

Ann. My heart is broken. I am 9 weeks pregnant and the only thing I could think of to help me get through this situation was the thought of eating one of your cinnamon rolls. Let’s be clear, these are world class rolls. They’re light, airy, gooey and doughy. The proportions are top notch. Now I know, not everyone has been pregnant before, but I’ve been hungover before too. And pregnancy cravings are similar in that, sometimes the feeling of eating something specific is equal parts survival and craving. I needed this roll. So I got it delivered via DoorDash with a breakfast burrito and was so excited to eat two of these bad boys, only to find that one of them was completely VOID of frosting. I’m flashing back to myself putting in the order and recalling this choice where they ask if I want rolls with extra frosting for some additional charge. The default clearly said cinnamon rolls with frosting. But this made it seem like the choice was frosting or NO frosting. When I order at the store, the frosting ratio is perfect so I didn’t think I’d need more. My heart was shattered. Did I eat it? Yes. Was it satisfying? Mostly, but also not. Ann. Cmon. You can’t be shoving these rolls into take out bags without paying attention. I need you to be more careful because your clientele needs consistency out of you. I’m not here to tank your scores bc the rolls are incredible. But this wasn’t it. I feel let down. Please check your rolls and the frosting ratio so that each order goes out with an APPROPRIATE amount. Zero frosting is not an appropriate amount. I’m disappointed.

Hands down the best cinnamon rolls I’ve ever tasted! They were served fresh and warm, and they were much bigger than I expected. I also tried the breakfast sandwich and really liked it. It was delicious.
The restaurant has a great variety of breakfast options to choose from, and the atmosphere was wonderful. Our server was amazing, super attentive and friendly. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back whenever I’m in the area!

Ann Sather Restaurant (Belmont location) did not disappoint! Apparently, I have been visiting Chicago for years and have not discovered this gem until recently. The waitstaff were very attentive. The menu was filled with interesting and tempting breakfast and lunch options. Most of all - the food was AMAZING! I have French Toast and it was some of the best I have eaten. My friend had the Swedish special and raved about it, as well. I am so glad I found this treasure of a breakfast/brunch/ lunch spot!

One word: filthy. The restaurant barely meets sanitary standards, and the food tastes mediocre due to low-grade ingredients. I'm genuinely surprised to see such high ratings for this place on Google Maps. We couldn't finish our meals and left as hungry as when we arrived. Those potatoes you see in the pictures are what they call their "newly invented hash browns." The price is definitely not worth it I strongly advise spending your time and money elsewhere.

Incredible food and super-fast service in a typical diner atmosphere. Despite being packed at 11 AM on Columbus Day, food came out lightning fast. Cinnamon rolls are out-of-this-world delicious, live up to the hype and couldn't possibly be any better! Hot biscuits with honey and strawberry-orange-banana juice are on point as well. French Toast Fantasy and Southern Decadence are particularly outstanding, sausage and gravy are perfectly savory and salty.

I had such a pleasant experience today that I felt compelled to leave this review.
I stopped in around 12:50pm to order cinnamon rolls & a brownie to go and the service was fantastic. The gentleman that took my order was extremely kind and attentive, he provided updates on the wait time and even gave my toddler a cinnamon roll while we waited. The young lady that rang us up was equally kind and charismatic. I wish I would’ve gotten their names so I could directly acknowledge them in this review.
I must also note that the general vibe of the restaurant was inviting and I look forward to dining in next time.
Thank you!

I would describe the atmosphere as old chicsgo meets swedish teadtional. Easy on the eyes but still a history trip in decor. Everyone was kind, patient, and felt good. Super great breakfast place 👌🏼 😋 the Swedish coffee was delicious. I personally really like the bacon cheddar potato pancakes with a side of meatballs. The price was definitely worth it, expect about $25 per person if you get drink and all that. Love this old school place. They dont make em like this anymore!

Our group of 5 visited for the first time.
Restaurant was clean and was decorated for the holidays.
All of the food was hot and fresh. We ordered bacon, cinnamon rolls, yogurt and granola, biscuits with honey, a sausage wrap, and an omelet.
Service was prompt and courteous.
Restroom was well-maintained.
Suitable for all ages, and reasonable price point. Small inside, so most ideal for groups of 4 or less.
And another shout-out for the delicious cinnamon rolls!
