Nestled in the vibrant heart of the Lower East Side, Cervo's has established itself as a distinctive culinary destination at 43 Canal St, New York, NY 10002. This neighborhood establishment captures the spirit of coastal dining, drawing inspiration from the sun-drenched regions of the Iberian Peninsula and the Atlantic coast. Upon entering, guests are greeted by an atmosphere that balances casual warmth with a refined appreciation for quality ingredients. It is a place where the bustle of New York City fades into the background, replaced by the clinking of glasses and the hum of genuine conversation.
The philosophy at Cervo's is rooted in simplicity and respect for the product. Rather than over-complicating dishes with unnecessary flourishes, the kitchen focuses on highlighting the natural flavors of high-quality seafood and seasonal produce. This approach has resonated deeply with locals and visitors alike, making it a staple for those who value thoughtful preparation and a relaxed, unpretentious dining environment. Whether you are stopping by for a quick bite or settling in for a longer evening, the experience is consistently defined by a commitment to hospitality and culinary integrity.

My friend and I walked in on a rainy Friday night without a reservation. It was about a 45 minute wait but so worth it.
To start, the vermouth service was so much fun and all of the server’s recommendations were spot on. Great true New York restaurant environment with amazing food.

some of the best seafood I’ve had ever. Literally ordered every single app and not a single miss. love love love all the seafood dishes ofc but OH the beef carpaccio with charred cabbage was an insane bite. Olive oil they use is so fragrant and stood out in every dish. Peas were so good covered in a concerning amount cheese but actually balanced bc very lemony and refreshing. Sea bream was something I still think about… still perfectly crispy while being deeply saucy?Interior is an absolute vibe love the lighting and the atmosphere just love overall agh
Vermouth service was fun and great recommendation from the server. Slight regret not ordering the martini but will have to go back

This was such an amazing experience the food was so fresh and delicious! But the star of the experience was the service. All of the following individuals were the best waiters waitresses bartenders I have ever encountered. I was served by sem, Matthew Lino and Bo. They were all so cute and fantastic . Such a pleasant experience.

Third time dining. Was a bit disappointed with quality of food. Tortilla was served almost cold and was more of a frittata with eggs and leeks. Shrimp head was good. Calamari also came almost in salad style in winter with cold onions. Off-season temperatures with food disappointed us. Room was also very cold to dine in, we asked if heaters could be turned on but servers just said they’ll see and never turned it on.
Burger was good.
Fish came really buttery… almost excessively. But was fine.

Vermouth service was quite good especially for $10-12. Crispy shrimp heads ($10) and skate wing ($31) were excellent.
Beefsteak tomatoes with salt cod was solid but probably would want to try other dishes.

First time at Cervo’s this past Sunday and it was a wonderful and memorable time. My friend and I got to sit at the Bar and Zane made the best recommendations and was so lovely.
I loved the Mezcal Martinez - it is a perfect drink for the cooler fall weather and every dish was stupid good and so flavorful.
The clams are a must, the spinach and mussels were perfect and you will want to order extra bread to soak up every drop of sauce (Zane’s pro recommendation) , the yellowfin tuna- melt in your mouth mind blowing, and the blackfish was gorg.
I don’t get to ball out a lot but this night was such a treat in a beautiful atmosphere with lovely, kind and knowledgeable service. Thank you so much to everyone at Cervo’s for such a sweet experience.

Mostly tapas, mostly seafood, decent wine selection, dimes square vibes.
One dessert is a combo of basque cheesecake and flan and it is super good.

The food and service were 👌👌👌 i really wanted to try their prawn head but the menu has changed. A lot of food were sour but right level of sourness. This is a perfect date spot. Piri piri chicken and croquettes were mediocre tbh but other seafood options were amazing

My partner and I visited Cervos for the last dinner of our trip to NYC. Overall we enjoyed dinner but it probably wouldn’t be somewhere we would recommend/return. We ordered the prawns and clams for starter but unfortunately they forgot our clams. We also ordered the sourdough but that was pretty dry and clearly had been cut hours ago. We ordered the skate and chicken for main. The skate was ok but not something we would order again. The chicken was amazing and probably one of the best chicken dishes of this type we have ever had, was really really delicious. The waiting staff were great when our dishes were forgotten (/generally) we were offered a glass of wine on the house. Being sat on the “chef table” whilst sounded good was pretty awkward/weird when the chef asked us to move, through the waitress, as we had been sat too close to the serving spot. Overall the restaurant had a good vibe but would not recommend sitting on the counter by the chefs.

Small restaurant with mostly barstool seating that is uncomfortably close together. Thankfully the food and service is fantastic. Based in Spanish cuisine, the menu has a solid array of seafood options with a few meats thrown in the mix. The burger is well known but not my favorite, the texture of the meat is slightly gamey and with the anchovies it’s approaching over salted. The staples of the menu are strong including the skate fillet and the roasted chicken. The small plates get seasonal refreshes. During this visit the beefsteak tomato salad was beautiful with a surprising spice and the pea shoots were refreshing with a kick of acid at the end. Dessert here could be stronger and feels like an afterthought. The flan is good but doesn’t frequently get updates and the cake is usually not great. I wish things got updated more frequently here but the food never disappoints.
