We ordered takeout and when we stopped to pick up our order the lady was not overly friendly. As soon as she got my money she disappeared. The food was hot when we got it home about 15 minutes away but was lacking flavor. The fried rice was bland with nothing but onions in it. The egg rolls were very good but we will not be driving that far again for "just average" food.

I've never ordered any beef dish where the beef was mushy and grey. They got my money once but never again. I've never ever gotten a meat that I wasn't sure what it was. Obviously it's supposed to be your run of the mill franchise … More

I've been eating here since they opened and they're the best Chinese takeout around here. All these negative reviews I see posted are straight up lies and are people who are probably always trying to get free food haters gone hate More

This might be the best Chinese food restaurant I've found in NC. Now, it's still fast food Chinese in NC so if you're from the north (like myself) it's important to manage expectations. My go to order is wings and chicken lo mein (make sure … More

I’m surprised by the reviews. This place was pretty good. I’m eating the happy family as I type this and it was excellent. I would recommend anyone to try the happy family. One of the best dishes I’ve in quite some time. More

This place is garbage. I got general tso,s chicken. The chicken was like rubber and the broccoli was raw. The fried rice was tasteless and had no pork or onions. HORRIBLE! Won't go there again. More

Meh. Food lion next door has better Asian food than this place. . Fried rice had nothing in it. Literally just rice with soy. No veggies and pork in it, which is standard. People aren’t friendly at all. The portions are small.
Won’t go back. More

My grandmother and I get something from here every week. Especially the Egg Drop Soup!! I also enjoy the Beef with Broccoli, Chicken Terryaki, Chicken Wings, and Pork Fried Rice. My grandmother loves their Pork Egg Foo Young. She is 97, so it become 2 or 3 meals for her with the amount they serve. Everything tastes great!! More

I would like to start by saying that I truly was excited for some Chinese food in this area. Not sure exactly what experience the reviewers so far have had with Chinese food but this establishment is nowhere near 5 stars. I rated it for 2 … More

Yup. Listen to the other reviews. Fried rice had absolutely nothing in it. My "black pepper" chicken was deep fried and had pepper thrown in the batter. What in the world. I have never eaten deep fried, black pepper chicken. Egg roll was burnt and smelled of old oil. Nope. Not doing this place ever again. More

Consistency is a big deal to us and our order is made to perfection each and every time! We get their egg rolls extra extra extra crispy and they are without a doubt one of the top 10 delicious things I’ve ever eaten! Great food and the staff is really friendly. Very glad to have them close!

I have ordered from this place several times and every time the experience is worse. From overcooked, tasteless, and burnt food. Ordered chicken yesterday and lo mein. The chicken was not good. I think they use old oil to cook their food. The lo mein wasn’t good. We will not spend any more money at this establishment. They need to step there game up. Unfortunately, there aren’t any good Chinese restaurants around the Clayton and Smithfield area. They could have the potential to be great but the times my family have ate from here, we haven’t had one good experience yet.

We ordered Fried Wontons and oh my God were they fried!! So hard they couldn't be eaten. So we take them back to have them replaced and as you know they were worse. The sweet and sour chicken had no flavor and the house special fried rice had so many onions and no meat. Finally the Eggroll was thick and also had no flavor. This was our second attempt of supporting a local business but they are just not good at all.

Friendly enough, consistent, fairly affordable, low-quality take out. Egg rolls and udon are good.
Meats tend low in quality and quantity. Chicken and beef are rubbery, crab rangoons are oddly fishy.
Fried rices are very low in protein and seasoning. Egg drop soup was very gelatinous like jell-o/ honey, probably high in cornstarch, quite gross.
Portion sizes are great. Served our food in a cut open cardboard box rather than a bag or offering a sit-down option. Decent spot if you have cheap take out expectations.

Caution on ordering…. Don’t bother with dishes they’re able to cheap out on meat portions and replace with basically all vegetables. Examples: beef and broccoli = maybe 10% beef and 90% broccoli. Mongolian beef = 5% beef and 95% onion. Anything “meat w. vegetable” is like this.

Always have a great experience, and definitely one of the top Chinese places to eat. I dropped my To-go bag on the way out, and lost my sweet and sour chicken box on the floor. They replaced it immediately and without me asking! Highly recommend!

Typical Chinese menu with the typical food photos above the register. Problem is food doesn't match the pictures. Order General Tsao's chicken expecting broccoli like in the photo and get 1, maybe 2 pieces of broccoli? No fried egg or bean sprouts in the fried rice. They do have Udon noodle soup which most other places do not, so that is a plus.

I am laughing at all of these Karen's reviews because this place is short of nothin but on point. It’s a Chinese restaurant attached to a Food Lion next door, it’s not supposed to be a 3 star dining experience. Its quick, delicious, greasy, bad for you, affordable, Chinese Take Out from a clean spot with a very high health score. My family has been grabbing take out from here almost every weekend for 6 months and we have never been let down once. I knew it was going to slap as soon as I walked in and saw a kid sitting at a table doing homework and the dude behind the counter was wearing a paper hat deal.
Ordered here dozens of times and never had an issue. The portion sizes are wild, its 2-3 meals in one combo platter.
Our go to is General Tso, Beef Lo Mein, Egg Roles, Fried Rice, and Sweet and Sour Chicken.
Chef’s Kiss. I am posting this on a Monday at lunch, eating my left over General Tso from Dinner Sunday Night.

This is by far the worse Chinese food I have ever had if I lived closer I would have returned it all. To the 2 reviews that left 5 stars DO YOU WORK THERE? 1 star was way to many.

Unfortunately, there's not good Chinese restaurants around, and they closed on Monday, except this one was open. Our first time and last one for sure. The food may look good ,but no taste at. There is so much color and no flavor.

I was literally the first customer and came in like 15 minutes before their official opening time because the door was unlocked and the sign was on, but they still had my food ready quicker than I could get their info on here. The food is like every other Chinese restaurant for the most part, I got crab Rangoon and beef lo mein, I will say the inside of the Rangoon was slightly different than I'm used too which was nice for a change, and the interior of the restaurant is very nice being a brand new place and all. The staff was extremely friendly, I'll be back in a few weeks probably to see if they will make me some "authentic" food that isn't on the Americanized menu.

Take out- We ordered Crab Rangoon and they were a little crispy and too sweet for my liking, but still good. Egg foo young is my comfort food, and I thought it was perfect amount of crispy edge with soft center and perfect amount of onion. Wonton soup was delicious, Sesame chicken had great crispy edges and tasted fresh. They had the food ready when promised and good customer service.
