We had the shrimp appetizer. It was ok. I had the snapper with onions and my friend had the chicken skewers. The shrimp and snapper had the same sauce with onions on it. It wasn't bad, but became repetitive. The fried jollof rice didn't have much flavor. My favorite part was the ginger and mango juice. So good and fresh. It's a nice environment. The service was slow, but the food came out quickly once we ordered. Oh, and it's Byob, which is good.

It was a different taste for me. Put me in the mind of casava leaf. It was actually lamb and spinach I believe. I'll pass next time just not my flavor. More

I bought a fish for $31, and honestly, I was very disappointed. The fish was extremely small, almost the size of a sausage. For that price, I expected a much more generous portion. … More

The food was great, although next time I will ask that the fish not be fried as hard. Still tasty though!

We got the sautéed lamb and the fish for dinner. It was good, definitely pretty salty and full of flavor. For $20 an entree that comes with one side, I didn’t feel like it was fully worth it. The tomato paste rice was bomb. The ginger juice is sooo spicy, couldn’t drink all of it. Great friendly environment, pay at the register.

The food may be a little too smothered in onions but other than that, the flavor was incredible. Jollof is amazing. Sadly they ran out of deserts for the day. A lot of people so it was busy and service was slow. Owner came to check on us after our meal which was kind.

Get the Red Snapper Poisson with athieke. It is cooked to the perfect level of crisp while keeping the fish tasty and not overdone. Also make sure to sprinkle some of the included seasoning on every bite of athieke for a little extra spice. Topped off with the bubbly Senegal Cocktail. Everything was delicious, chill atmosphere, and the staff was very friendly. I'll definitely be back for more.

We brought a group visiting for a work conference as part of a food tour all around Philly and this was an exceptional experience. We focused on the diversity and representation of our multi-cultural city, of which none of our visiting guests had ever eaten West African food before. They all came back for multiple services of the Yassa Philly chicken, meat patties, and Senegal cocktail. Youma personally welcomed our group and shared some of her backstory - which was our favorite part of the whole experience. We can't wait to bring many MANY more groups back to Kilimandjaro. Thank you Youma and Abiche!!!

Let me start by saying how beautifully decorated the restaurant is. The vibrant colors and decor make you feel welcomed and happy., the customer service is excellent and the wait staff were very friendly. The FOOD.... I can't say enough how good the food was; it's African food (Senegalese ) everything was so flavorful and cooked right. I've had Liberian, and Nigerian food but this was amazing. The red snapper was delicious and grilled to perfection; I really didn't care for the athieke. It was over cooked and mushy, the plantains were amazing! It was paired with sweet carrots and onions in a tomato based sauce. My friend loved all of her food, she had the chicken and jollof rice which she stated that everything was full of flavor and delicious. My only complaint is that they did not have dessert.... We had to go somewhere else for a sweet treat. The menu selections are not much but what they do have is worth the visit. I recommend this beautiful restaurant to everyone please try 🙌🏽❤️

The food was delicious. We had the Lamb and Tilapia with Jollof, the onions on top add so much flavor. The Maafe with Chicken was also very good. We order plantains as well that were freshly fried and sweet. The Ginger and mange drink was taste amazing. They also had live music which added to the atmosphere. 10/10 experience

We absolutely enjoyed every moment in here. It was good to be in the midst of our fellow Africans. The restaurant was clean, organized and well maintained. The food they served us were very tasty and the drink was typical African folere. The customer service was exceptional. It was a good experience and I strongly recommend to all.

Parking during lunch was very convenient. The interior plus good music made for the right vibe. Our waitress was very attentive considering the full tables and a busy takeout line. The food was well-priced and bursting with flavor. The contrast between the flavors of the barbecued meat and the sauce they are tossed in is nice. The drinks were also great. The menu is highly varied so we hope to visit again and try some of the other items.
