The Jajangmyeon is the best I’ve ever had. I’ve been here four or five times and have tried half the menu, everything has been fantastic. The seafood soup, and all the noodle dishes have been super impressive and delicious- also that white batter fried meats(technical name) are also delicious. More

The pork dumplings are excellent. Crunchy and soft at the same time. I cant pronounce ANYTHING on the menu, but I ordered the spicy seafood noodle soup and it was perfect for that cold, rainy night. Ill be back to try some more menu items.

All the dishes we ordered were very tasty, but some were a bit more spicy than we expected. We really liked the mapo tofu. Be forewarned, the jajangmyeon is for two people. It isn't clear on the menu. More

From the moment the food hit the table, it was clear this place takes its flavors seriously. The Jajangmyeon was outstanding, with a rich and savory black bean sauce over perfectly chewy noodles, with a depth of flavor that really stood out. It’s the kind of dish that hits all the right notes and leaves you wanting more.
The Tangsuyuk was equally impressive. The pork was light and crispy on the outside while staying tender on the inside, and the sweet and sour sauce had just the right balance without being too heavy or overly sweet. Easily one of the best versions I’ve had in the area.
The portions were very generous, making it great for sharing or taking home leftovers. Service was quick, and the food came out hot and fresh even though the restaurant was fairly busy. The atmosphere is casual and clean, perfect for a quick bite or a dinner with friends or family.
Overall, everything exceeded expectations. The food was bold, comforting, and full of flavor, and it’s clear they focus on delivering a quality experience. This spot is definitely going into the regular rotation. Highly recommended.
Update 12/26/2025: Love this place, we've been back several times since and they still knock it out of the park. Outstanding!

This is our favorite place to eat in town. Their menu is simple and all their staff so friendly. I think all of their food is yummy. We always ordered gumandu and chicken wings in garlic sauce for my kid who doesn't eat spicy food. I also ordered jamppong and jajangmyeon. Both dishes came with generous amounts of seafood.

I LOVE the tangsuyuk it has a perfect crispy outside and chewy inside, the sweet and sour sauce compliments it well. I’d definitely recommend the jjangban jjajang over the jjajangmyeon. it has a sweeter flavor than it but beware that the spicy jjangban is SPICY! More

WOW. It's much better than its local franchise in Korea. By far the best quality/authentic of jajang myeon (짜장면) we've had in the US. Though I saw a review saying the noodle was sweet, it was just alright (there are many places in Korea that are sweeter, worse.); what we'd exactly expect from Korean jajang myeon. Fried pork with sweet sour sauce (탕수육) was perfect too, both coming in generous portion. Not sure why the rating here is not high.
I've been to other "known to be authentic" jajangmyeon places in Chicago, which was disappointing for a size of the city!
That's actually why I tried out this franchise this time, hoping it be more authentic than relying on random reviews on Chinese/Korean solo restaurants written by many who've probably not been to Korea often.
Like Bonchon has risen strong and succeeded in stabilizing the quality of its food over time, across the stores, I wish this brand also grows more popular!!! 😊

I ordered the Meat Jajangmyeon and it was a perfect 5/5—smooth, chewy noodles and a rich black sauce that’s flavorful without being overly sweet or salty. Only downside is the location is a bit far if you’re coming from Chicago, but it’s absolutely worth the trip. Highly recommend!

I was searching for a place with good Jajangmyeon Noodle. Someone recommended me this restaurant. It’s a big chain restaurant of Chef Paik! I know that he is very famous chef but never try his food before.
The atmosphere is very simple with not a lot of decoration but THE FOOD IS AMAZING!! The portions are huge. We ordered only 2 dishes among 3 of us. We are so full.
We ordered Jaengban Jajang and Black pepper beef. Jarngban Jajang is a noodle dish with pork and seafood in soy beans sauce. It’s so good. Noodles are cooked perfectly. Beef in black pepper beef dish is thin and easy to enjoy.
