Tucked in a developing spot right in the heart of the hood, Raleigh Soul Food Kitchen definitely surprised us. The food? Solid 8.5 out of 10. It’s giving Southern soul with a little island twist which caught our attention right away. … More

I’m gonna keep going back until I try every single thing on the menu. The cook is amazing. The service is great. It may not be in such a good area, but I’m from this side of town you mind yours ,they’re gonna mind theirs. But I would definitely recommend the food 10 times over.

Food was great! Good ole home-cooked-from-the-soul-food!!! Hole in the wall type vibes, but this told me that the food was going to be A1….and it WAS. Plus it was packed but it still DID NOT take long to receive my order as a walk in…as it is inside a corner store and has a corner- of -the store, where you place your order and they will call your number out when it’s ready. I ordered the fried catfish, collards, Mac n cheese, and cornbread. Well worth the money!! I will be back. Hopefully next time they will have the peach cobbler egg rolls available 😉

Man I can not rave enough bout this place!! I've only had the fried fish, Mac n Chz and Collards but it was DELICIOUS!! I placed a pick up order and I would suggest that as well just because they were pretty busy inside. But the fish was piping hot, and we'll seasoned. Nothing was lacking, I will definitely recommend.

My friend took me there tonight. I didn’t know this place even existed and I don’t know if this is a good thing or a bad thing that I know about it now because I’m gonna probably wanna eat there way more than I should. The catfish melts in your mouth. I have never had collard greens that tasted this good. Ever.
Definitely will be back. More than once.
NOTE: The fish only looks like that because I couldn’t wait until I got home to eat it so I was picking at it on the drive home. Lol

Food is very good and service is okay. It is not a sit down restaurant and located within a store which doesn't bother me but just FYI for others. Overall fried pork chop was amazing and tasty. Mac and cheese and yams were delicious as well. Great option for to go soul food. More

Not the best location, but the chef knows what he’s doing in the kitchen! The catfish, hot honey Hennessy wings, yams, mac and cheese and collards were great. The oxtails could have been cooked longer to have that fall of the bone effect. Located in a gas station, the parking is very limited. More

Catfish was fresh and made to order! Seasoning was spot on. It paired really well with the yellow rice and collard greens. The sticky ribs were really good but a bit too sweet, same with yams— but this just my personal preference. Both were cooked really well. My 7yo enjoyed the mac and cheese! We’ll be back! More
