Really cute French bakery tucked into the shops here in South Park. I would say always expect a line on the weekend, but it moves really quickly. The pastries were very good, but the coffee wasn't anything to write home about. Great tiramisu, canelé, and danishes (what we tried). More

The customer service was EXCELLENT! we are on a croissant tour of charlotte and so far this has been one of the only places to make their croissants in-house from scratch. They are flaky and buttery delicious. The coffee was delicious and a perfect pairing for French pastry.

If you’re looking for a real French café experience in Charlotte, Renaissance Pâtisserie in SouthPark is it.
I lived in Paris as an American, and my girlfriend is from Lyon — so we know what authentic feels like. Chef Sylvain delivers the genuine article. The espresso is strong and smooth with a proper crema. The croque monsieur is perfectly toasted with rich, balanced béchamel. The almond croissants are buttery, flaky, and not overly sweet — exactly how they should be. Everything tastes fresh, like it came straight from a café in France that morning.
Even the details matter — marble tables, classic café chairs, simple presentation. Nothing feels forced or commercial. It’s relaxed, polished, and unmistakably French.
This isn’t “French-inspired.” It’s the real thing. Five stars, easy.

Visually spectacular!!! Coffee cake muffin was fresh, moist and delicious.French Cheesecake was good and the crust was little bitter. Cream puff was creamy and tastes great when served cold. Red velvet parfait was too dry. Apple tartelette was fantastic topped with sliced and glazed apples. The pastry was a bit thick and chewy. More

I was staying at the Marriot directly across the street and decided to try their avocado toast with eggs. It was absolutely delicious, fresh, and very generously sized. It easily could have fed two people but I ate it all. I actually returned later that afternoon to try their turkey sandwich which was equally delicious. By the time my hotel stay had ended, I also tried a croissant from there which, you guessed it, was amazing.
Several of my colleagues raved about the macaroons, coffee, and other sweet treats.
Great authentic French pastry shop with very friendly service. I will return if I'm in the area again.
