The Yakitori Don Combination is delicious and consistently good! The house salad dressing is so good my family and I purchase a bottle of it every time we come. The service is fast and great, I have never had a bad experience here. 10/10 recommendFood: 5Service: 5Atmosphere: 5

I hate to write a review for this restaurant because it’s the best kept secret on the westside and I’m afraid the word will get out and I’ll lose my little slice of Japanese food heaven. I’ve been going to Taiko for well over 20 years and the quality of food, cozy atmosphere and exceptional service has always been fantastic and keeps getting better. The garlic edamame is a must starter and the pumpkin tempura roll is addictive. The broth in the hot Kake bowls has always been perfect and the Udon and Soba are always fresh. They only have 4 or 5 small tables outside but they always go the extra mile to make sure there is a heater nearby on a chilly night. If you decide to get take-out you won’t be disappointed as every single item is wrapped with care and portions are equal to eating in. When I got Covid one winter this was the only take-out I could stomach and it made my heart sing. Service is always above and beyond.
They just raised their prices (2025) but still competitive. We had a very memorable experience at Taiko! The sushi was excellent, as were many of the other dishes we tried. The service exceeded our expectations. They offer Kenzo wine which was a surprise and a treat having visited Kenzo winery in Napa. We’ll be back for sure! We highly recommend.Price per person$30–50Food: 5Service: 5Atmosphere: 5Noise levelModerate noiseGroup size3-4 peopleWait timeNo wait
