This is a tiny taqueria that you can easily miss since it is a small nondescript building. I was traveling on the road in the way home from my brother's house when my car broke down. This was the first area I found where I could pull off the road. There's no shoulder so I had to find a place to get off the road. I was unable to fix it until the next morning when the auto parts sites were open. In the morning I was able to replace the part and get my car running again. My car was there overnight and it was about 11 am before I was finished.
I was grateful that the owner did not have my car towed, so I went in and thanked them personally. I was hungry so I got some tacos. The price was reasonable and the service was prompt and courteous. The tacos were delicious and filling. The only thing I didn't love is that it's a cash only business because I don't usually carry cash.
Good food and good people and good service. Very highly recommended. I would definitely eat here again.

5/10 No stairs, and the doors can accommodate most wheelchairs. There's nothing specifically for wheelchairs, but there is also nothing specific that prevents a wheelchair from being used.

Man 8 dollars for a burrito of this size and quality is crazy. Honestly one of the best burrito places I’ve eaten at, cheap too. Wouldn’t be surprised if the owner raised it a bit. And even if he did it would still be worth it honestly.

My husband got the pork burrito & I got the steak burrito. The flavors were so amazing, packed with tons of ingredients to the point it was falling out the burrito! So delicious, can’t wait to come back to try the tacos next time.

It's good simple, authentic Mexican food. Take the time to give it a try. They have a walk up window or you can go around to the other side and go inside.
Under new ownership. It is now Taqueria Los Remedios

Taqueria Zapopan: A Beacon Between Fields and Faith
Out on that stretch of two-lane between Seven Springs and Goldsboro, where tobacco barns slump like old men and the air still smells like earth and diesel, there’s a shack—or maybe it’s a trailer, or maybe it’s just a dream—that folks know as Taqueria Zapopan. No sign. No menu. Just Mauro, a hot griddle, and the kind of cooking that makes you slow your truck and follow your nose.
Mauro doesn’t advertise. He doesn’t need to. Word gets out when the food’s this right. You show up and he sizes you up like a barber or a bootmaker—asks what you want, though he already knows. Maybe it’s tacos—soft, warm, and humble, meat packed so full of flavor it makes you whisper a thank-you without knowing who you’re thanking. Maybe it’s a burrito, heavy as a newborn and twice as comforting.
Then there’s the salsa verde—mercy. That green fire. Bright with lime, bold with serrano, and smoother than a gospel choir on Sunday morning. It ain’t a condiment; it’s a reckoning.
Prices are country honest. Cheap enough you’ll check your wallet twice, sure you did something wrong. And the whole place feels like a secret passed down in whispers—something sacred out past the soybean fields, where culture and craft meet in Mauro’s calloused hands.
Taqueria Zapopan ain’t just a taco stop. It’s a Southern crossroads—a place where Mexico rides shotgun with Carolina, and the road always leads home.
