This a bit of a mixed review.
The good: drinks, service and ambiance
Food was hit or miss.
The pulpo was tender, though felt a bit slimy for my wife.
The rice with squid ink was full of flavour, but squid super chewy, but very good nonetheless.
The empanada was nice, smoky and pastry crispy. The Croquetas were freshly fried, good but not great. The Jamon was hard to find in the Croquetas, and Jamon flavour was imperceptible. Not bad, just had a ton better.
The biggest disappointment was the Jamon Iberico de Bellota 5 Jota. Normally, melt in your mouth goodness! This wasn’t. Never mind that it was cut too thick, but the vast majority of the pieces that were cut were 1. Dry and rubbery, 2. RANCID. The white fatty part of the Jamon was yellow and dry, the meaty part leathery chewy, and likely the result of inexperienced carver or bad storage conditions for the Jamon. Either way, super disappointing. It was inedible. We paid and walked out.
