Coopers
Coopers is more than just a restaurant — it’s a local icon. The moment you walk in, the nautical décor and walls filled with old photos and keepsakes tell stories from its 70+ years in the neighborhood. My husband, who was in town for a high school reunion, even spotted two of his grade school photos on display — such a fun surprise and a trip down memory lane.
The food definitely lives up to its reputation for fresh seafood. The Crab Pretzel was warm and loaded with creamy crab and cheese. The Crispy Sesame Brussels Sprouts were a great twist — perfectly crisp with a sesame glaze that really worked. My husband’s Cedar-Planked Salmon was tender and flavorful, and my Seafood Crêpes were rich, creamy, and generously filled.
Even during a busy dinner rush, the service was friendly and prompt. Coopers has that rare mix of history, good food, and genuine warmth that makes you want to come back again and again. There’s even a World map showing where visitors have come from!

We stopped off in Scranton from the interstate to see some of “The Office” stuff. Cooper’s was a highlight! Not only a cute Office-themed gift shop, but a great place for lunch or dinner. The pop culture decor kept us entertained too. I had the fish fry—tasty! An all around good meal for everyone. More

I prefer the crab cakes, the New England Clam Chowder I thought was better than the bisque. The oysters were not the cleanest but I like the mussels especially the bread with it. Overall this was a really amazing place for the atmosphere. More
