The food here is delicious. I had the calamari and the caprese salad. 😋 Reservations are recommended. I found it hard to have conversation as it was very loud. Owners are very friendly. … More

Went for a friend's birthday dinner and the food was delicious. The service was very good. I got the special that night and I took 1/2 home. The leftovers two days later were still good. I can't wait to go back to try something else. More

This was our second visit for dinner. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Our food was great. Very nice selection on the menu and many unique specials. The drink offerings were also well crafted, I've had them before and I like their personal touch on the items. Our favorite part of this experience was chatting with the owners grandmother. The true star of the restaurant. An absolutely lovely, warm and friendly woman whom I watched take pride in walking around to tables asking how the patrons were enjoying their selections. She also offered some of her homemade desserts (we chose the lemoncello cream puff) which you could taste the love she put into the pastry. We enjoyed our entire experience, but I have to say our 80(something) year young interaction with "grandma "made this visit unforgettable. That lady and her sweetness and pride brought back beautiful memories of my own grandmother, and "grandma Mia Via" will stick with my thoughts a long time. We look forward to our next visit and highly recommend for great drinks, food and service.

The high reviews here were what drew me to the restaurant and I was sadly disappointed. The atmosphere is very dark with an outdated 70's vibe. The waitress seemed a little like she didn't like her job or didn't want to be there that night, but was friendly enough. The brussels sprout appetizer was good. The calamari appetizer was disgusting, tough, crunchy and distasteful. (Gross) The chicken marsala was greasy and not flavorful in any special way. The chicken piccata sauce was watery and not very good. The chicken parmesan was ok but had big blobs of so-so tasting cheese on top. The sausage and pasta dish was just ok. The food for our party of four was overall just Meh. The restaurant was crowded for a Thursday night, but other than getting very large portions that end up in the home garbage bin, I sincerely don't get the rave reviews. We won't be returning.

I moved to NEPA in December of 2022 and we have been trying new restaurants at least once or twice each week to find the best. I’m here to stay, I love the area, I NEED to know where to eat. This restaurant is HANDS DOWN the best meal I have had so far. It was so good I’m positive that my soul left my body at some point. I cannot stress enough how amazingly good the food, service and overall experience was. Y’all…… ❣️❣️
Sorry for the badly lit photos.
I had the imperial crab pasta. So much crab, so creamy and delicious.
My partner had the, I’m sorry I forget the menu name but it was an Alfredo with crab stuffed shrimp. *chefs kiss*.
Not pictured: My son had the “Drunken Fisherman” which was a spicy vodka style sauce over rigatoni with HUGE shrimp and scallops. The sauce was just spicy enough to be just right without being too much.
From the drinks to the apps to the mains, everything was over the top delectable. So much so, we all talked about it all the way home. We will definitely be regulars as much ch as we can afford it! ❣️❣️

What a fantastic first time! I was dying for the pappardelle bolognese & my friend had chicken marsala. Hot from the kitchen as a meal should be. The temperature of the entrees was the best experience I have ever had! The flavor was amazing- simmered all day taste. Nonna's meatballs were superb as an appetizer. Dessert was tiramisu made that day- top notch!
The owner, Chris, came to say hello, and Jessica was an attentive server.
My only issue was a mojito that needed more oomph. Served in a too big pint glass, there was no lime in it just some lime juice. It was flat & not the summer cocktail I expected for $8.
We'll be back for more food, just not for cocktails.

We had heard from a friend this was a new hot spot with homemade Italian food. They have plenty of parking and we were immediately greeted and taken to our table immediately. They do recommend reservations and I would agree, because it was busy.
Our waitress was Jessy. Very nice, very kind and very attentive. I did have to ask about specials as we saw a post on Facebook, but wanted to be sure they had them as they were never mentioned to us prior to ordering. We ordered our drinks, a beer and a peaches and cream. She really loved her drink and thought it was awesome.
All dinners come with a side salad. For appetizers she ordered steamed clams and I ordered New Orleans grilled oysters. Both were excellent except for the fact they brought our salads and appetizers out at the same time. That's a huge no no and there's no excuse for it.
For dinner I ordered one of the specials, Cioppino. It had bronzino, shrimp, clams, calamari potatoes, onion and fennel in a white whine tomato broth. It was very good. She had Shrimp Scampi which had huge shrimp in it. She did not like it at all. The pasta and shrimp were cooked perfect but the scampi sauce tasted like burnt olive oil. I tried it and the olive oil was definitely overcooked with a slightly burnt bitter taste.
For desert we went with an old Italian favorite, a cannoli. It was good.
All in all we found it decent and will come back as maybe they were having an off night. As far as we could tell they had lots of staff. They just need to work out a few kinks.

If I could give more stars, I would! The best Italian I’ve had in nepa. The restaurant itself is very cozy and intimate, the staff was very accommodating, friendly and attentive and the food itself deserves its own review it was that good! They have rotating weekly specials which is great to try new dishes. Everything was fresh and cooked to perfection and even my daughter who is a picky eater was impressed and loved her noodles! Can’t wait to go back again. Definitely make a reservation as they fill up quick!

First time visiting Mia Via over valentine's day weekend and I would 100% return. Space was packed but staff was attentive and food times weren't too bad. We ordered everything off the specials menu - an app and two entrées. The app was not the best, but the mains were spectacular! Portions were hearty and the space was cozy and intimate. Great spot for a date night or family gathering.

I recently hosted our company Christmas party at Mia Via Restaurant, and they truly went above and beyond to make it an unforgettable evening.
The ambiance was warm, festive, and welcoming — ideal for a holiday celebration. From the moment we arrived, the staff made our group feel well taken care of and ensured everything ran seamlessly.
We started with a selection of appetizers, followed by a buffet-style dinner that was professionally served by the staff, and finished with dessert. The food was outstanding from beginning to end — beautifully presented, delicious, and plentiful. Everything was well-organized, and the buffet service was smooth and efficient, allowing our group to relax and enjoy the evening.
The service was excellent throughout the night. The staff were friendly, attentive, and professional, always making sure everyone had what they needed.
I also want to mention that I dine at Mia Via] weekly, and the quality is consistently excellent every single time. Whether it’s a special event like our Christmas party or a regular visit, the food and service never disappoint.
I highly recommend Mia Via for both special occasions and everyday dining. They consistently deliver an exceptional experience.
Also, dont forget to try the Mahogany Manhattan!! "Mahog"

Our first experience was perfect from start to finish. Our server, Eric, was awesome—he had a great personality and answered all of our questions. The drinks and food were absolutely delicious. We had the sangria and an espresso martini (the best I’ve ever had!), and for food we ordered the Pittston Parm and the crab imperial pasta—both were outstanding. We ended with the cream puff and that was delicious! We will definitely be back.
