I love the rice cakes here. It’s very similar to the ones my grandmother used to make for me when I was a kid. It’s hard to find and no one really makes it anymore. The soy milk and herbal tea are really authentic too! More

The tofu here is epic.
Don't sleep on the combos.
The savoury tofu was our fav. We got it with everything and it was so delicious.
The sweet tofu is fantastic as well and the toppings are a great idea. The taro ball and red bean are our fav.
The coconut rice cake here is epic.
The soybean drink is delicious too and the sweetened one is perfectly sweetened (not too sweet)
We love this spot and it's popular for a reason.

The silky tofu pudding just reminds me of home back in Malaysia. Get it plain or with topping but always choose the ginger syrup to drizzle on the warm pudding. More

I always love coming here for the sweet rice cakes. These remind me of my childhood! This recipe is as authentic as the ones I have tried in Hong Kong. Whenever I have family gatherings or friends parties, I would bring this and its a hit! Great for people who like the mochi texture. More

So good. The tofu is warm, which is a nice detail, especially in the winter. Red bean and boba were fresh and tasty. Not too sweet overall, which is a good thing. More

This place is great for tofu pudding! It's a bit pricey, though, since they market it as "premium." There are other spots that are simple and cheaper. More

Recommendations: Can’t Go Wrong Combo w/ almond sauce, Soy Milk
Avoid: Rice Cakes
I’m so glad my friend took me to Fong On because it’s such a treasure place. They are the master of tofu, and everything is so good (except the rice cakes). I got the Can’t Go Wrong Combo, and it was one of the best desserts I’ve ever had. The tofu pudding was warm, soft, and rich, while the toppings were sweet and cold. It was just perfect. The soy milk is also a must-get at Fong On. The only disappointment is the rice cakes because they are just very basic. This is a place of history (est. 1933), and I will DEFINITELY come back again for their amazing tofu pudding and soy milk!
