Tried Giovanni’s Shrimp Hawaii for my first meal in Honolulu — went straight for the #1 garlic shrimp. So good. It’s tucked inside the H Mart food court on the second floor. I’d heard a lot about their shrimp platter, so I had to give it a … More

The best shrimp I’ve had on the Island so far. This is day 6 for me. I got the scampi and added the delicious hot sauce in the side with Mac salad. So good! We are planning to come back later tonight. More

This location is inside an H Mart! Came here after visiting Big Wave shrimp on north shore and I thought Giovanni’s was much tastier! They really emphasize the garlic flavor well and their spicy sauce is delicious. Definitely worth making a stop here! More

The Garlic Shrimp is absolutely fantastic! There's a parking garage right next door, and you can stroll through a neat H-Mart before taking the elevator up to the dining area. It's a nice, air-conditioned food court. This spot is definitely … More

We missed hitting the shrimp trucks on the North Shore so we were happy to find a closer alternative in Honolulu! This is in the food court on the second floor of the H Mart. They have a smaller menu but, man, is that shrimp good! More

It’s in a food hall, on the second floor above the H Mart. If you go with a group, it’s easy for everyone to get something from different vendors, whether it’s Giovanni’s shrimp, ramen, fried chicken, poke, or beer on tap. More

Finding this place takes a little effort — it’s tucked away on the second floor of a market, so it’s not immediately obvious. But once you get there, it’s worth it.
The shrimp was rich, buttery, and packed with flavor. Just be ready to peel them yourself — they come with the shells on, which honestly adds to the experience (and the flavor).
Service was friendly and helpful. One important tip: parking can be discounted, but you have to ask your server for the QR code to scan. Good to know before you pay full price.
Overall, the prices are much better than Waikīkī, especially for the quality and portion size. If you’re craving garlic shrimp without the tourist markup, this is a solid choice.

It was good! But I'm glad I came to this location (food court above H Mart) versus the food truck because I'm not sure if it's worth waiting in a longggg line for. Shrimps aren't peeled, hot sauce was quite spicy but paired really well with the garlic shrimp. More

I love the heck out of Giovanni's because they just serve up the best garlic shrimp plate around. The shrimp is fresh and flavorful with the delicious garlic sauce and the portions are generous. I can eat the rice alone with the sauce on top. I love it that this location has a wall of signature/tags of different people that have passed on by this place just reminiscent of the truck in North Shore. If you can't make it up there to Haleiwa, this Kaka'ako location will satisfy your garlic shrimp itch.
There's 3 ways you can get up to the food hall to this place. First method is to go inside HMart and find a set of stairs that lead you up to the Food Hall area(stairs are near the appliance/rice cooker area). Second way is to take the elevator thats near the set of stairs inside HMart. The third way to get up to the food hall area is to take a set of stairs thats on the side of the HMart entrance. Theres plenty of seats in the food court for you to sit and chill and enjoy your meal.

I absolutely love this place for the garlic shrimp scampi! You order and they give you a number to pick up when ready. We got the scampi to share and it was a perfect amount. The flavor was delicious and I love that they put the garlic all over the rice!
There’s a food court style open seating area with lots of tables. We went with a big family group and everyone got whatever food they wanted.

Kahuka Hi Giovanni's Shrimp food truck, busiest place in it's location. The original Giovanni's location. Lots of outdoor covered seating, free parking, fast service even if there is a line, which is always. Shrimp Scampi which is they're most popular dish was excellent as is the rest of there menu items. This is a great
place to stop location wise because there are bathrooms and other place to shop or pick up those important vacation momentous. Don't know why google posted this as Honalulu location, it's actually the truck in Kahuka.

If you can’t make the drive to the North Shore, this Kakaako location is a total win. I tried several garlic shrimp plates during my stay in Hawaii, and this was hands down the best one.
I ordered the #1 Scampi, and it was excellent—the shrimp was incredibly fresh, perfectly cooked, and packed with flavor (Garlic-ky goodness). The portions are also very generous; one plate was plenty for two people to share. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area. Mahalo! 🤙🏼
