The philosophy at Pattaya Thai centers on the belief that a great meal is more than just sustenance; it is an experience that engages all the senses. By prioritizing fresh produce and a careful selection of spices, the kitchen team works to recreate the balance of sweet, sour, salty, and spicy notes that are the hallmark of Thai gastronomy. Whether you are a long-time enthusiast of Thai food or someone looking to explore these flavors for the first time, the restaurant offers a menu that reflects both classic staples and a dedication to consistent quality. The location on Cooke Street makes it a convenient stop for a midday lunch break or a relaxed evening meal after a day of exploring the vibrant streets of Honolulu.
Why Pattaya Thai Stands Out
Authentic Culinary Approach: The kitchen emphasizes traditional preparation methods, ensuring that every dish maintains the depth of flavor expected from authentic Thai recipes. By respecting the original profiles of these dishes, the restaurant provides a genuine taste of Thailand.
Commitment to Fresh Ingredients: Quality is at the forefront of the operation. The restaurant sources fresh vegetables, herbs, and proteins to ensure that each plate served is vibrant, nutritious, and flavorful. This dedication to freshness is evident in the texture and brightness of the food.
Welcoming Atmosphere: The setting is designed to be accessible and comfortable for all guests. Whether you are dining with family, meeting friends, or enjoying a quiet meal, the environment is crafted to make every visitor feel at home while enjoying a high-quality dining experience.
Strategic Location: Situated at 605 Cooke St, the restaurant is well-positioned within Honolulu. Its accessibility makes it a reliable choice for those navigating the city, offering a peaceful retreat where the pace of life slows down over a well-prepared meal.
Beyond the food itself, Pattaya Thai is defined by its role as a neighborhood gathering spot. The staff understands that hospitality is just as important as the seasoning in a curry or the crispness of a stir-fry. By fostering a friendly and attentive environment, the restaurant ensures that the dining experience is smooth and enjoyable from start to finish. It is this combination of culinary skill and genuine service that helps the establishment maintain its reputation among those who appreciate a thoughtful approach to international cuisine.
As the culinary landscape of Honolulu continues to evolve, Pattaya Thai remains a steady presence for those who value consistency and flavor. The restaurant invites you to explore its menu and discover the nuances of Thai cooking in a setting that feels both personal and professional. Whether you are craving the comfort of a warm soup, the zest of a fresh salad, or the richness of a traditional stir-fry, there is something here to satisfy your palate. We invite you to visit us on Cooke Street and experience the dedication to quality that defines our kitchen every single day.
In conclusion, Pattaya Thai offers a straightforward and satisfying dining experience for anyone in Honolulu. By focusing on the fundamentals of Thai cuisine—freshness, balance, and hospitality—the restaurant provides a reliable option for those seeking a flavorful meal. We look forward to welcoming you to our table and sharing the traditions that make our food a beloved part of the local dining scene. Come by 605 Cooke St to enjoy a meal prepared with care, attention to detail, and a deep respect for the ingredients that make Thai food truly special.

Tried Pattaya Thai with my girls and sat outside. Heads up--it's BYOB, and the menu says there's a $10(!!) corkage fee, though I'm not sure they actually enforce it since we didn't have any alcohol. My older daughter had the pad thai and … More

Got the stir fried vegetables with chicken during lunch…spice level-hot. Great portion, not as spicy as I like it, but very good quality vegetables and prepared quickly. The server was extremely friendly and helpful. Rice was an extra $3, … More

As I walked into the restaurant, I was met with a less than welcoming greeting, being yelled at as I entered by the unfriendly male waiter. However, my mood quickly changed as soon as I took my first bite of the excellent food. While the … More

So pleasantly surprised! I see this every time I visit the climbing gym and it always looked empty so I didn’t have high expectations. Also, being Thai, it’s been very difficult to find authentic Thai places around Oahu.. this place tastes … More

This place closes at 2am. Which I'm glad for because I don't like eating junky fast food past 9pm. Their food is incredible and if you dine in late at night, there is karaoke and a bar. It is also byob with cork fee. More

This is on the corner with lots of outdoor seating. The lunch special Thai basil chicken was made with what seemed like “ground chicken” and as such had a strange crumbly texture. It was also salty which took away from the flavor. The … More

It was literally the best Khao Man Gai I've ever had. The meat was thick, decent and flavorable, but once I put it into my mouth, it turned so soft like it started kind of melting. I've stayed in Thailand for 4 months total and literally had lots of khao man gai in its home country, but THIS is literally the best. I mean, the price is much higher than that of Thailand, but still. Definitely worth it to try if you're a fan of Thai cuisine.

Pattaya Thai saved a Saturday night birthday celebration for our friends when the Thai place we had reservations at closed without notice!
I’ve passed by the restaurant frequently on my way to various lunch destinations during the weekdays but never stopped for lunch. I rent a monthly parking spot at a nearby garage, but they also have a few parking spots along the side, on Ilaniwai Street.
In addition to the sidewalk seating and indoor dining, there’s a patio in the back that’s quite fun for small parties. It’s covered in artificial grass and there are large umbrellas to keep any light rain off.
Service was friendly and quick, as was the turnaround of the dishes. Note that it is BYOB!

One of the better traditional Thai eateries in Honolulu/Oahu. The green curry was very well prepared with a lot of well cooked vegetables. We ordered it in mild and it came with just a slight spiciness and a bit sweet. We also ordered a papaya salad pork belly combo. It was excellent with plenty of green leaves to wrap the pork belly. The seating area was decorated with funky Christmas items as it tried to resemble a street cafe in Thailand (minus the mosquitoes). The service was friendly but very slooooow. It only had two servers for a full house, but in all fairness, it was probably because it was on the day of Christmas. Maybe we will try it again. No parking lot for this place, so it may be difficult unless you eat very late.

Very limited free street parking as I could see. Maybe there’s a paid lot nearby, but I couldn’t find one.
Wheelchair accessibility
Probably not a good idea as the indoor seating area was tight and the outdoor seating area had an uneven floor.

I swear, I've never had Thai cuisine in Hawaii anywhere as good as Pattaya Thai by Chef Yuri 👩🍳
I frequent this spot, and never had a mediocre dish.
Also, where else on island has outdoor seating, dog friendly and BYOB AND THEY OFFER KAREOKE?!!! Seriously, check it out for yourself.
So, I order any and all things on the menu, everything is killer, fresh and flavorful. Pad Gra Prow, is epic no one in the state has better, and same for her Pad Thai and Drunken noodles These dishes are absolutely perfect at Pattaya.
So, go, go check um out 😉
