The filling was good and well seasoned but the tortillas themselves were horrible. They need to lower the temperature on their flat top (it was literally black). The tortillas were burned on the outside and raw on the inside. You need to … More

The gorditas are absolutely fabulous! Their only problem is that they don’t know how to manage the drive up window and the regular line inside. They need to have two cashiers, one to handle the drive up the other one to handle the inside.

This place is delicious! I had a quesadilla with desebrada in red chile and it hit the spot right on. Don't forget the serranos, they add extra spice and flavor to your gordita or burrito. If you want to have a fully satisfied belly come and engulf your taste buds with some bomdigity gorditas. More

All of the stews are extremely spicy to the point of being inedible—you’ll likely end up throwing the gordita away. The refried beans taste like they’re straight from a low-quality can and are honestly unpleasant. They don’t even bother using decent canned beans.
On top of that, they sneak in a “credit card fee” on every purchase, which is illegal in many states and unethical everywhere. The prices are also high for the quality you get.
Avoid eating here unless you’re starving and every other restaurant in El Paso is closed.

I hate to write bad reviews. I have been a customer for at least 5 years, for some reason the service has declined over the past year. The employees always look like they hate being there and are not very nice, we usually use the drive thru and it takes forever, but thats not the worst part. My favorite gordita is the frijoles con carne, and sometimes its a hit or miss but lately it has been EXTREMELY spicy to were I cannot finish it and unfortunately today was one of those days. I hate to say this but I think today was my last time we go there.

The gorditas have lost the quality that justified the bad service. Gorditas are no longer soft and fluffy. Now they are flat and crispy. They completely fall apart with the first bite. The guisados (fillings) are made of potato and chile with almost no meat. The chile colorado deshebrada and the Winnie were extremely spicy to the point of being inedible.

Gorditas are really good. Customer service is horrible. I went inside because drive thru line was very long. Not friendly. Waited in line inside for about 15 minutes. The cashier takes turns taking one order from drive thru and one from line inside. Then waited another 10 minutes for the one gordita I ordered. Went back another day, waited about 30 minutes in the drive thru. Horrible customer service. Clearly they dont care because all the reviews are similar. Will not go back.

The gorditas are really good. The service is not so good I was at the drive thru and I have seen about 5 cars drive off already cause when I got to the window. Turns out the lady at the register was telling everyone there was a 30 minute wait. If I owned this location I definitely would look into this as you are loosing out in a lot of business do to employees. I actually waited about 10 minutes not 30 as the cashier was warning in the drive thru. Also for customers definitely check your order before driving off.

I am driving cross country and only in El Paso for one night. The hotel recommended la Taqueria traditional for good tacos, but when I got there, they were having their holiday party and it was closed to the public. The owner was very sweet and told me to come the next morning over to his other place - Gordita Tony - and he would treat me to some Gorditas. I got the huevos and chorizo, the Mexican egg and another that was pork and potato in a Verde sauce. I have never had Gorditas so I didn’t know what to expect, but I could not get over how flavorful and perfectly seasoned the ingredients were. I am usually one to salt and pepper and add hot sauce – but these needed nothing. I had a few bites out of each and saved them for my drive toward Phoenix. If there is any way, I can travel through El Paso again I will be making sure that I stop at Gorditas Tony!
