This was my first time we wanted to go to a black owned restaurant so we ended up here. The customer service was absolutely amazing. Every 5-10 mins someone was checking on us to make sure we was good. Food came out hot and it was delicious. Not a big menu but a great variety of options. We spent about $30 a person but we got extra stuff. Definitely will go back.

Beautiful location very nice helpful staff. The Mr loved his shrimp n grits, our juices were so good. Tried the strawberry lemonade and peach! Lost a star for my unseasoned home fries it made the rest of the dish bland. But overall I'd definitely give another try a lot of options on the menu More

I have been frequenting this restaurant for years. The young lady taking phone orders is multitasking while taking pickup orders. That’s not the problem, but it does become a problem when she has constantly messed up my orders 2 weeks in a row.
I had to go back up to the restaurant to get my correct order. I was trying to talk to the manager Ivy about the issue. As I’m talking to Ivy, she wasn’t listening. Just shaking her head dismissively. Constantly saying “ ok, ok,ok” to rush me out the door.

Finally made it to try Peach's restaurant. It was New Years Day and the hubby and I decided to try them. The menu lacks basic breakfast fare options. It's like the focus was on over the top southern breakfast fare that they forgot to give basic staples without almost making you order a la cart. Ended up ordering the peach's special. Eggs, bacon, pancakes and potatoes. Hubby was grits, eggs, toast. The bacon was so thin for a restaurant to be serving it. The cheese was almost missing from my eggs and my hubby's grits and eggs as well. My pancakes came out cold. I didn't send the back since I knew I was going to take them home to finish later. Potatoes were not seasoned while cooking. The flavor was not pleasant for me. My hubby's grits also lacked seasoning while cooking. I guess they save all flavoring for those ordering shrimp and grits. I finally tried the pancakes that I took home and was even more disappointed with lack of flavor from them. Needless to say Peach's will not going to be added to my breakfast rotation.

I went with several friends who sometimes come to Bronzeville to attend plays at the Harold Washington Cultural Center. They were disappointed not to see the Senior Specials on the menu that use to be offered. Anyway we still enjoyed the time there. We love the peach coffee. I had the Bayou meal that was supposed to have some alligator in it somewhere.

Wow! This was probably the best plate of shrimp and grits I've ever had! They were happy to swap the pork bacon for turkey. The peach coffee was fascinatingly different and tasty. I'd never had anything like it. The service was attentive, and while it wasn't super fast it was clear that a lot was done from scratch, so I didn't mind at all.

The food was great, I thought the portions were small on my salmon croquettes but after I digested it did hit the spot. My server Ashanti was great she even tried to save me money by recommending a menu selection. This is my second time there and I will be back. I see why former President Obama eats there and selected them to serve food at the highly anticipated opening of the Obama center/ Library. My aunt noticed the table original table offered was bemired so we were offered another table.

This place is simply fabulous! The food is so delicious, I would drive from Milwaukee just to go there for breakfast. I have not ordered anything that was not fantastic. The food is seasoned and cooked to perfection! I highly recommend the duck bacon. As someone who does not eat pork, it is a fantastic substitute for pork bacon. Their turkey bacon is also very tasty, and usually don't care for turkey bacon.

Peaches delivered one of the most satisfying brunch experiences I’ve had in Chicago. Nestled in Bronzeville, the restaurant manages to capture both the warmth of the neighborhood and the kind of elevated comfort food that makes brunch feel like an event rather than just a meal.
From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels welcoming and alive. The space has a relaxed but polished energy—busy in the best way, with the sound of conversation, plates hitting tables, and the unmistakable smell of fresh breakfast classics filling the room. It feels like a place where people come not only to eat, but to enjoy the experience of being there.
The food is where Peaches truly shines. I ordered the French toast with fried chicken, and it was outstanding. The French toast was perfectly golden with a soft, custardy center and just the right amount of sweetness. Paired with the crispy fried chicken, it hit that ideal balance of savory and sweet that great brunch dishes are known for. The chicken itself was fried beautifully—crunchy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and seasoned well enough to stand on its own.
My partner ordered the same dish but added blueberries to the French toast, and it was just as impressive. The blueberries brought a bright freshness that cut through the richness of the dish and added another layer of flavor that made each bite feel thoughtful rather than heavy.
What stood out most was the consistency. Every element on the plate felt intentional—from the crispness of the chicken to the texture of the toast and the freshness of the toppings. Nothing felt rushed or generic.
Peaches is the kind of brunch spot that reminds you why Chicago’s food scene is so respected. Great food, a welcoming atmosphere, and the unmistakable sense that the kitchen takes pride in every plate that leaves it. If you’re anywhere near Bronzeville and looking for a brunch that delivers both flavor and experience, Peaches is absolutely worth the visit.

The staff was excellent. The hostess and the waitress were very warm and kind. Our waitress was great and deserves a raise for real.
The food is good but just good. Everything is well made and tasty. It just just regular for real. I would definitely come back though. Feels nice and welcoming in there.

1st time visiting this establishment today an I must say the shrimp an grits was good. The banana rum french toast flight was good as well. I gave 3 stars because the customer service was terrible. How do you seat someone then forget about them? After being seated for 20 mins I had to ask one of the servers was anyone going to take my order anytime soon right after I seen them attend to a Caucasian group of men who came in right after me. They were quickly seated and greeted upon arrival an I was sitting right next to them waiting on someone to take my order. The food was good but I had better and the customer service sucked, the servers made me feel like I didn’t matter but was quick to attend to the white men. I will not be returning!

This was my first time at Peach’s Restaurant, and I’m genuinely disappointed. I ordered the salmon omelet, and there was barely any salmon in it. And let’s be real — if it’s a seafood omelet, the seafood shouldn’t be missing.
I’m a foodie. I love food, I love flavor, and I give credit when it’s due. This just wasn’t it. The omelet itself was cooked fine, but without the salmon, it felt bland, underwhelming, and not worth it.
I’ve had great omelets elsewhere — including at IHOP and Truth Italian Restaurant — so I know what a well-filled, flavorful omelet is supposed to look and taste like. This didn’t come close.
At this point, I’ll just stick to the basic breakfast here — grits, sausage, bacon, eggs — even though I’m not a basic breakfast person at all. I wanted to try something different, but this missed the mark completely.
Hopefully this was just an off day, because this experience wasn’t giving what it was supposed to give.

When I asked my mom what she thought of Peach’s, she didn’t hesitate “10/10.” She had woken up craving grits, and after a bit of research, I chose Peach’s as the spot for us during our annual mother + daughter trip.
We arrived shortly after opening and only waited about five minutes, as there was a couple ahead of us placing a to-go order. Once they were finished, we were greeted warmly, and a gentleman at the bar even walked over to welcome us and show us to our seats. He was kind, friendly, and seemed genuinely excited to have us there.
The restaurant itself was clean and well-kept. Our server, Tamarra, was outstanding personable, knowledgeable about the menu, and truly happy to be helping us. We ordered the Peach’s Special: two eggs with chicken sausage, grits, and pancakes.
Our food came out quickly, piping hot, and absolutely delicious. I also tried their peach coffee, which was unique and so good that I plan to order some online.
Overall, Peach’s delivered on every level: great food, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere. (And yes! we did ask about Obama!)

Nice restaurant. Convention location on 47th St. It's clean and spacious. I just want to say in my most humble honest opinion. I believe the catfish was not catfish. I've had plenty of catfish in my life. Home cooked and restaurants. There's now restaurants selling swai and passing it for catfish. I don't want to mislead or give false accusations, but I truly believe that wasn't catfish.
