Stopped by for happy hour and enjoyed our drinks and some food!
Loved the DJ and overall vibe of this place - the food on their happy hour menu was good, many of their full menu items sounded a bit more interesting so it would be great to come back.
We tried a hibiscus margarita and it was nice as well. It looks like they have a great wine selection! And their machines for pouring wine were cool looking as well.

I was there with my wife and a friend. I had eggs with some kind of red sauce it was the worst brunch ever. We also ordered French toast, which was terrible. The flavors were seriously off. I’m not sure how you can mess up eggs like that. … More

Never been to this place before but it was a great experience. I believe the head chef name was Derrell(?). But you could tell that he and the entire culinary team there was passionate about the product that was served to the customers. The short rib and the seafood pasta are must haves. And my server Corrine was excellent as well and she navigated the challenges of appeasing all of her tables and making sure they were satisfied. Once again tho, that food was insane and that chef definitely has the skill set to be the best chef in the city.

I was really looking forward to going to Bronzeville Winery because I wanted to support a black restaurant on the south side instead of going downtown.
Got there, there was about a 15 minute wait before I was seated, even though I made a reservation. No big deal. Looked over the menu and the waiter tells me they were out of steak, shrimp and chicken. The three main meat items on their menu. I went with the beef short rib. I also ordered a salad. 25 minutes after ordering, the waitress comes back and asks me did I order a salad? All she had to do was look at the order that she put in. Finally after 45 minutes the food comes out, missing one of my items that had to mention to the waitress.
Mid way through my meal, I asked to see the desert menu, which looked like a receipt where deserts were printed on. I specifically told her I wanted the peach cobbler. Time went on and as I finished my meal, I was waiting for my desert. The waitress brings me a to go box and the check. I asked her where was the desert and she told me she forgot to put it in. After I told her I still wanted it, she came back two minutes later only to tell me the kitchen ran out of peach cobbler.
I don’t know if it was the large crowd of people that were there that night, but it appears they don’t operate well with big crowds. I’m going to try them again because the food was delicious and the ambiance was excellent, but they definitely need to work on the service.

We sat at the bar and the vibe was immaculate. Super friendly staff and the bartender was fantastic! We tried 3 different signature cocktails which were all great and the bartender even gave me a small glass of wine because she needed to finish off the bottle. Now to the food. We got brussel sprouts as an appetizer, which were very good, but our mains were kind of disappointing for the price. We ordered the rack of lamb and the signature burger. The lamb itself was cooked well but there was only a bite or 2 per bone and other orders we saw had much thicker pieces, the green beans were some of the best I've ever had but the mashed potatoes were just okay. As for the burger, it was nothing to write home about. It was cooked well on the inside but the outside had a bit too much char for me and caused some bites to be super dry, the side of fries were relatively bland and you definitely needed some ketchup to dip them in. Dessert we got the apple dumpling which was out of this world! Overall, great place to start or end the night!

Bronzeville Winery is an absolute gem! Our server, B, was one of the best I’ve ever had—she was incredibly attentive, gave fantastic recommendations, and had the perfect attitude to make our date night extra special. The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the food was absolutely delicious. If you’re an Old Fashioned fan, don’t miss their version—it’s hands down the best I’ve ever had! This is a must-try restaurant, and I can’t recommend it enough. Go check it out—you won’t be disappointed!

First, the food was fantastic! The wine pairings were perfect. They were out of lamb chops, but offered an upgrade to a lamb shank for the same price. The salmon tagliatelle was perfect in its execution. Brussels sprouts were amazing in their honey, spicy sauce.
Second, we (2 people) were seated at 7:40 and didn't see a server until after 8 to take our order. They arrived with a complimentary sparkling wine glass. Main dishes arrived at 9 (they close at 9). It's 9:48 and still waiting to receive the check. Requested to-go boxes as the hint that we were planning to leave soon almost 30 mins ago...have not seen the server for apologies or questions for dessert or some form of communication. I'm writing this review as I wait.
Lastly, live DJ spinning great dinner music, but way too loud to enjoy your company's conversation.
Don't know what happened tonight, but for a $200 headache, I WILL NOT return with service like this.

We had a great time at Bronzeville Winery! We tried a mix of dishes—the shrimp and stone-ground grits were rich and flavorful, the herb-crusted rack of lamb was tender and well-seasoned, and the little chicken and biscuit was such a fun comfort bite. The appetizers were a nice start and the wine we ordered paired really well with everything. The vibe was stylish and relaxed, and service was friendly, though the pacing was a little slow at times. Overall, delicious food and good wine in a beautiful space.

I have visited Bronzeville Winery a number of times. This time, I had an early birthday celebration at Bronzeville Winery. The service was very good and the ambiance was unmatched. The food, however is inconsistent. When the restaurant owners are there, the food is amazing, but as soon as they leave or the evening grows later, the food quality dips. It is disappointing because I love this restaurant and their investment in the community. I had the salmon tagliatelle, which was delicious and had a beautiful presentation. The truffle fries were cooked perfectly. The cava was delightfully palatable. The peach cobbler was very forgettable. Lastly, I really enjoyed and appreciated my server, Corrine Z. She was thoughtful and I was in awe as she handled multiple tables with ease. Overall, I am happy I celebrated my birthday there and look forward to next time.

I came here with a few friends for a birthday celebration. The drinks were ok and the food was good but way too salty, like overwhelming salty, like an un measured amount of salt. Other than that our waitress was nice the atmosphere was nice.

I’d heard good things about this place, so I decided to give it a try. The ambience was nice, though the music was a bit too loud, we had to raise our voices to talk. We ordered shrimp and crispy Brussels sprouts for appetizers, which took at least 30 minutes to arrive. For the entrée, we had the Creole Salmon Tagliatelle and the Lamb Shank, which came about 20 minutes after the appetizers.
The food and wine were excellent, but the wait time was excessive, especially since the restaurant wasn’t busy. The menu was also limited, they didn’t have the Signature Burger or Little Chicken Biscuits. Our waitress was great and handled everything well, but the long wait made the experience less enjoyable. They really need a better system. Also, automatically adding a 20% gratuity isn’t a good look.
