TLDR: fried chicken here is awesome, I prefer the salted egg yolk but all of it is good
I got the two legs of chicken with salted egg yolk and I got to enjoy the salted egg yolk flavor on fried chicken with very crispy skin and juicy meat. I do miss the size of the brooklyn location but the food still hit the spot

The chicken sandwich was fried to order. The thigh meat was nicely seasoned , juicy,, and very crispy. Creatively toppings either caramelized onions, soy sauce, and pickles. Lots of other interesting menu items. Very limited seating. More

This is the best fried chicken we’ve ever had. The chicken is so juicy, tender and full of flavor. We went back a second time during our trip just to try the half chicken which was fantastic with a perfect crisp to the skin and the spicy seasoning was delicious. Not too heavy on the heat but flavorful that you can taste the distinct notes of seasoning. So delicious.

The sandwich is the way to go! The chili chicken was sooo delish! And the milk bread matches / compliments in a beautiful way. Didn’t love the egg yolk flavour - a bit dry? Weird texture?
The fries were simply not good. EMP alum do better!!! Frozen fries, too thick, not crispy enough, with a forgettable salt?
Would come back for the sandwich but I hope the other stuff improves.

I previously left a glowing review for this place. I was introduced to pecking house in Brooklyn where I live and was delighted to see that they opened one near my job in financial district. Previous visits to this one were excellent. I even met the owner and his wife once during lunch and asked if the cornbread would be back soon because it was missed.
Today I felt to treat myself after work. It was the perfect pick. I went and ordered two orders of quarter chickens and two cornbreads. Upon arriving home, I found that I wasn’t given my full order. What I did receive is in a photo that I’m going to attach here. I called the location back from my Brooklyn, Home and the gentleman who picked up acted as though he did not speak English. Furthermore, he just jumbled words that weren’t even Spanish. So that I would hang up. And then called back with a friend to translate for me and he swore up and down that he in fact did include the chicken. This is not true. I’m not hard up for money at all and can gladly pay for chicken. This is not a ploy to pull one more piece of chicken out of them but the service here is now terrible. I do not recommend going here. Taking into account that I previously thought this was the best fried chicken I’ve had. I don’t know if ownership has changed or something but they left some incompetent people in the store. If you are the store owner, please review the tape at around 6:40 PM, December 17. You’ll see I sat right near the register waiting for my order.

We ordered the Chili Sandwich ($16), Leg Quarters ($16), Spice Bag ($14), and Chicken Salt Fries ($8). The chicken in all three entrees were delicious - they were well seasoned, fried perfectly, and super juicy. The leg quarters were the star of the show, they were enormous. Each leg was coated beautifully with batter and seasoning. The chicken itself was juicy and delicious. Although the sandwich was a bit small for the price, the flavor was solid and each bite was elite. The spice bag is done as well as it could be - the curry was solid and went well with the fried chicken bites and crispy fries. The chicken salt fries were crispy but I didn’t really taste the chicken salt, it tasted like regular fries but still good. Overall, this place is solid and worth trying if you want an Asian twist on fried chicken.
