By keeping their processes transparent and their menu focused, they allow the quality of the ingredients to speak for themselves. The balance of savory, smoky, and tender elements in their dishes is a testament to the hard work that goes on behind the scenes long before the doors open to the public.

After passing the exit due to construction I was slightly skeptical with the location being attached to a gas station. The skepticism went away as soon as I got out of the car and could smell the amazing bbq smell. … More

Although the food is very good, the takeout portion was skimpy. We had a meal that we ate inside that had substantially more food. More

Only reason I’m giving it a 4 is due to the Mac N Cheese only being available as jalapeño. As I’ve gotten older I have to be careful what I eat due to stomach sensitivity (insert eye roll, lol) I ordered the chicken thigh and bacon … More

Friendly service and FANTASTIC food! It is my favorite spot to get local barbecue. I highly recommend the specials. The burnt ends, smoked chicken, pulled pork, and hot dog are awesome. We just tried the meatloaf and it was smack your mamma good! The collards, beans, and mac and cheese are great side dishes. More

Redneck Barbecue Lab was a mixed bag in the best-and-worst way. The brisket sandwiches and smoked turkey were really good, and the BBQ sauce options were the cherry on top. The decor is awesome—super country and exactly what you’d expect … More

We were told we had to try this bbq place and so glad we did! We got the ribs, brisket, pulled pork, sausage, jalapeño mac and cheese, slaw, and cornbread. Plus "The Judy". Everything was cooked perfectly and had amazing flavor. All the sawse's are delicious too. More

Went and had a hard time deciding so we ordered more than 2 people should eat. Smoked turkey, pulled pork, brisket, sausage, collard greens, Mac and cheese, slaw, potato salad and it comes with cornbread. Everything we tried was very good. I would highly recommend traveling to Benson NC and try them. It shares a spot with a gas station and once inside it has everything you would expect from a barbecue restaurant.

Service could have been better as the drive through was slow. But the food was good. Not sour and the flavors was not overly heavy. Brisket ok. Pulled pork ok and not sour. Chicken well cooked, moist and could have been a little more flavorful. But good in general. Worth the money. Corn bread is good, better than cracker barrel.

This was our first time eating here and may become a regular stop if ever back in Benson, NC. The black pepper garlic sausage was very good. We both had brisket and also tried the pulled pork. Sandwiches and plates come with cornbread as well. Love the bbq sauces too. Friendly staff. Popular place from the line inside. Ended up in the drive thru which was quick and convenient.

I go through the drive thru about weekly to bi weekly. So much so that I'm bummed if my regular gal with the glasses isn't working the window. She was yesterday! Yay! And the sweet young man with the curly hair who loves my pit bull puppy! But what got me here to rave today is that PASTRAMI!!!!!!!! Freaking AMAZING!!!! It's the first time I've encountered it on the menu. Is it going to be a regular special? I just have to have it again!
P.S. My grandson loves your chili dogs. I also think you offer a wonderful BLT sandwich. The fat redneck is awesome and so is your jalapeño sausage! And your red label Sawse is my favorite BBQ sauce in all of Raleigh and NC!

Was looking to get some good BBQ and the girlfriend found this gem.
Attached to a gas station, this place oozed bbq culture and excellence, and the food and service did not disappoint. There was a gentleman walking around helping refill drinks and just be all around helpful (he seemed to know everyone and was a joy to just be around)
The BBQ was awesome (turkey, burnt tips, pulled pork sandwich, jalapeno Mac and cheese, cole slaw, corn bread and collard greens) and the sauces were worthy of their award winning status (our favorite was the orange sawce)
Excited to come back and try the other food on the menu!
