Amazing restaurant & grocery. Fantastic tacos. Hot salsa bar is for dine-in only which is a little annoying when I wouldn’t overdo it anyways. I got salsa at home though! All for $8.50... hard to beat authentic prices & quality!

Authentic Mexican food! Very busy and disorganized. Instead of waiting for them to call out your number, you're better off going up to the counter and calling out your number to them. Otherwise, it will be a looooooong wait to get your meal lol

Hands down the best tacos I've had in North Carolina. Just wow. The food is phenomenal and comes out really fast. They've expanded into a bigger space so there's a lot more seating available which is much needed because it's always packed. The line moves quickly and the staff works efficiently. They are pros. If you love tacos, try this place.

Real authentic Mexican food. The portions were amazing for the price. Service was excellent, although there was a language barrier the worker tried her best and even further assisted me by grabbing another coworker. The atmosphere inside is kind of bland however it was clean, spacious, and tidy. More

Delicious and relatively inexpensive!! I haven’t been here since 2011 and it is as tasty and well priced as I remember. The small portions of nachos is enough for two people, and the different salsas are great compliments. The aguas frescas are refreshing as well.

This has been around for 20+ years, in three different locations, expanding each time. Many places that have this kind of history have a tendency to reduce the quality as they expand. This place has not. It started as a hole in the wall where they made the tortillas and tacos and other stuff and called out the order number in Spanish when it was ready. They do call it out in English now, along with the Spanish. They still make the tortillas and all else to order, and they have a very nice spice and sauce bar, buffet style. Another great Mom & Pop place! I'll be back, again!

I have been to the mountaintop; Tacos El Gordo in Las Vegas. I've been chasing that dragon ever since, looking for incredible handmade street tacos. Walking in to El Toro I had high hopes; it was very clean with an expansive, modern dining room, efficient ordering counter and a toppings bar. Alas, the tacos were just average. We got Asada, Pastor and chorizo. Pastor was the best, and I'd even rate it Very Good, the chorizo was fine, but the asada was dry and flavorless. The tortillas didn't taste freshly made and didn't seem like they had been grilled. Don't get me wrong, they weren't bad. I ate everything on my plate, and some from my wife and daughter's plate, I liked it all, we would absolutely go back, but I've tasted greatness and this, unfortunately isn't it. This is good. We got mango aqua fresca and horchata to drink; both a little too sweet. I saw someone with a bottle of Modelo, so they must have beer. I feel like this review comes off a little harsh, but I think that is mostly my disappointment at once again failing to find a rival to El Gordo. In all honesty this place is big, clean, friendly, fast and the food isn't bad at all. I would have no problem recommending it and would absolutely go back.

I was in town visiting family and friends when my brother suggested this place. I think this is a very solid choice regarding authentic Mexican food. I had a sope de suadero and a taco de al pastor. The food was so fresh and flavorful. The environment was ridiculously clean and inviting. (My apologies, the photo doesn't do much justice)
