Discovering the Essence of Coastal Dining at Luke's Lobster Brooklyn Bridge Park
Nestled along the vibrant waterfront of Brooklyn, Luke's Lobster at 11 Water St offers a unique culinary experience that bridges the gap between traditional Maine seafood shacks and the bustling energy of New York City. Positioned perfectly within the scenic expanse of Brooklyn Bridge Park, this location serves as a sanctuary for those seeking a genuine taste of the Atlantic coast. The philosophy here is rooted in simplicity, transparency, and a deep respect for the journey from the ocean to the plate. By prioritizing direct relationships with fishermen and processing facilities, the establishment ensures that every serving reflects the quality and integrity expected by seafood enthusiasts.
The atmosphere at this waterfront destination is intentionally unpretentious, allowing the natural beauty of the surrounding park and the iconic skyline views to complement the dining experience. Whether you are a local resident taking a midday break or a visitor exploring the historic streets of DUMBO, the space provides a welcoming environment that feels both grounded and refreshing. It is a place where the focus remains squarely on the quality of the ingredients, prepared with techniques that honor the natural sweetness and texture of premium shellfish.
What Makes This Waterfront Destination Unique
Commitment to Traceability: Every ingredient served is sourced with a strict focus on sustainability. The team maintains direct partnerships with lobster cooperatives, ensuring that they know exactly where their catch comes from and how it was harvested. This dedication to the supply chain guarantees that diners are enjoying seafood that supports healthy ocean ecosystems.
Authentic Coastal Preparation: The menu celebrates the classic preparation methods that have defined New England seafood culture for generations. By keeping the recipes straightforward and avoiding unnecessary additives, the natural, briny sweetness of the lobster is allowed to take center stage, supported only by a light touch of seasoning and high-quality butter.
Unparalleled Location and Views: Situated in the heart of Brooklyn Bridge Park, the restaurant offers more than just a meal; it provides a sensory experience. The proximity to the East River and the panoramic vistas of the Manhattan skyline create a backdrop that is difficult to replicate, making it an ideal spot for those who appreciate the intersection of great food and iconic urban landscapes.
Community-Focused Atmosphere: The design and service style are curated to foster a sense of ease and relaxation. By removing the formalities often associated with high-end dining, the establishment invites guests to enjoy their meals in a way that feels personal, approachable, and deeply connected to the maritime heritage of the Northeast.
A Destination for Seafood Lovers
In an era where the origin of our food is increasingly important, Luke's Lobster Brooklyn Bridge Park stands out by maintaining a steadfast commitment to its core values. The experience is defined by a balance of high-quality sourcing and a relaxed, park-side setting that invites guests to slow down and savor the moment. It is not merely about the act of eating, but about appreciating the craftsmanship involved in bringing fresh, sustainable seafood to the heart of a major metropolis.
Whether you are drawn by the promise of a classic lobster roll or simply the desire to enjoy a quiet afternoon by the water, this location offers a consistent and high-quality experience. It remains a testament to the idea that great food does not require complexity, but rather a profound respect for the ingredients and the environment from which they are sourced. As you walk along the paths of Brooklyn Bridge Park, the presence of this establishment serves as a reminder of the enduring appeal of simple, honest, and responsibly harvested seafood.

Overall: Pretty good lobster rolls, but the wait times are insane and the prices are high.
The good: The sandwich was well worth the wait, I'll give them that. The lobster and the bread roll were both heavenly, and it was nice to be able to enjoy a beer along with it. Location is top tier, as you can enjoy your meal under the bridge.
The not-so-good: The wait time was atrocious, waited in line for 25 minutes and then had to wait another 20 minutes for the food to come out. 1 cashier, 1 window to order and pick up - I understand their limited footprint, but if you have any sort of plans, 45 mins to just get food in your hands is a long time. And the prices are high, even for the chips and drinks.

This is my second time eating at this place, only this time I decided to try the Dumbo location.
I ordered the lobster, crab and shrimp trio, in my opinion it is too small, you can see the comparison with my hand.
The bread was okay, the lobster bread was better, and even the crab bread surprised me because it was also good.
My disappointment was the shrimp, they were cold, like when they took them straight from the refrigerator to the plate. No flavor at all, the texture was chewy and I actually ate it to avoid wasting food but it tasted really bad.
It was the only thing I ate for the rest of the day, at night my stomach started to hurt and I felt nauseous. I had severe indigestion all night, I couldn't stop vomiting and the discomfort wouldn't go away.
Hopefully it was indigestion and not food poisoning. But still, it's a resounding Never again for me.
The guy at the register was friendly and the service was quick. My only problem was the disastrous experience with the shrimp there.
Only because of the staff and the beautiful location next to the pier, I give them two stars.

Quick friendly service. Lobster roll and clam chowder were nice, portions were on the small side, but this is a prime location. Perhaps I might have preferred lobster bisque to the clam chowder, which I wouldn’t order again. More

It's a sweet cozy place. You order from the counter outside. Very limited seating is available. There was no rush when we went so we ordered and sat inside. The lobster rolls were nice but what we absolutely loved was the clam chowder which warmed us up after coming in from the chilly weather outside. The staff were lovely and attentive. More

This remains one of my absolute favorite spots in the city! This was my 3rd or 4th time visiting, and the experience is incredibly consistent—it is always good.
The lobster roll is an absolute must-try. The meat is incredibly delicious and fresh, served perfectly chilled with just a hint of lemon and butter on a toasted bun. Every bite is simply yummy.
Beyond the food, the staff is very friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. Pair that with the great location, and you have the perfect New York meal. I’ll definitely be back for a 5th visit soon!

So! Yummy! Came in March and there was no wait! Staff was so friendly and sweet. Food was amazing and I think it’s a great deal! $28 for a lobster roll and it comes with chips and a drink and it’s way better than anything I've had from the west coast. Incredible Lobster Rolls – A Must-Try Under the Brooklyn Bridge
These were hands-down the best lobster rolls I had while visiting the area. I came with six friends, and everyone absolutely loved them. We tried a flight of different varieties, and every one was delicious—the hot honey was our favorite, but honestly, they were all outstanding. I also ordered a full-size crab roll, which was super fresh and flavorful, but the lobster rolls truly stole the show.
The service was friendly and fun—our server had a great sense of humor and made the experience even better. Each roll comes with chips and a drink, which adds a nice touch. Yes, it’s on the pricier side, but it’s lobster and crab, so it’s expected—and worth every penny. The location is unbeatable, right beneath the Brooklyn Bridge with a park nearby where you can sit and enjoy the view. I’d come back a hundred times if I could!
